# Your memory, read back to you every morning.

> Mnemo Daily Brief: reminders due, important dates, what you promised to follow up on, today's meetings, and everything captured in the last 24 hours — computed on demand from your memory and optionally emailed at your hour. GET /v1/brief.

The Daily Brief is what you would ask your memory if you had five minutes: what is due, who has a birthday, what you promised and have not done, who you are meeting, and what came in since yesterday. Computed from your memories on request — and emailed at your hour if you want it.

REST API: GET /v1/brief?containerTag=&date=&timezone=&days=&sections= (scope brief:read). Sections: core (reminders bucketed overdue / due today / upcoming, important dates, the last 24 hours of memories and documents with counts), followUps (one reader question with citations, cached 30 minutes, null on timeout), meetings (today's meetings when Google Calendar is connected and Meeting Memory is on).

## Three sections, one request

- Core: what the database knows — reminders bucketed by your IANA timezone, important dates within the window (recurring ones match month and day), the last 24 hours of memories and documents. Pure queries, no model in the loop.
- Follow-ups: what you promised — one reader question, 'what did I promise, commit to, or say I would follow up on that is still open?', answered over your memories with citations, cached for 30 minutes, and dropped to null (never a 500) if it takes longer than six seconds.
- Meetings, and the email — with Google Calendar connected and Meeting Memory on, today's meetings ride along. In the dashboard, set a timezone, an hour, and an optional container, and a verified email address receives the brief once a day.

## Built to be boring at 8 a.m.

- Your timezone, your hour — buckets and send times use the IANA zone you set, DST included; invalid zones are a 400 INVALID_TIMEZONE.
- Once a day, verified address only — the digest sends to a verified email at most once per local day and claims the send atomically so two API replicas cannot both send.
- Never blocks on the reader — follow-ups run under a six-second race; a slow reader returns null for that card while the reminders still paint instantly.
- Scoped like everything else — API keys must pass a containerTag (400 CONTAINER_TAG_REQUIRED); workspace-wide briefs are only for a signed-in user of that workspace. Email settings are per user and have no public twin.
- Off by default — the brief and its email are behind flags (503 FEATURE_DISABLED until enabled); nothing is sent until you turn email on in settings.
